Pekingese Puppies
Myth says that the Pekingese came about when a lion loved marmoset. Thus this breed is also known as the Lion-Dog and was sacred during the Tang Dynasy in China. The Peke wasn't introduced to the world until after the British invasion of China in the 1800's.
The Pekingese has a flat face with a wrinkled black muzzle. The Pekes long coat and abundant mane is seen in cream, fawn, white, black, parti-colored, red, and black or read with white.
This breed requires daily brushing to prevent matting of the double coat as well as regular cleaning of the eyes and face to avoid moisture buildup and facial fold dermatitis.
The Peke can be a loving member of the family and watch dog with proper training. Although this breed has a tendency to be a bit stubborn, independent, and difficult to train the Peke will respond to obedience classes.
Pekingese are not tolerant of hot, humid weather.
