Golden Retriever Puppies 

Golden Retrievers were once a popular hunting dog of the 1800's in Scotland, today the breed is commonly associated with suburban life with a love of water.

This intelligent breed with its well-rounded temperament and ability to get along well with people make good guide dogs for the blind, deaf and other handicapped individuals as well as therapy dogs.

Golden Retrievers are a middle-sized dog with medium to dark brown eyes, a thick, soft outer water-repellent coat in varying degree of golden colors. The breed has longer hair in lighter shades on the back of the forelegs and thighs, underbelly, front of neck and underside of the tail.

This dog enjoys daily brushing if achievable. Regular brushings encourages a healthy, shiny coat and will decrease shedding while presenting an opportune time to find mats which can be painful for the dog.

These dogs are playful, loving companion with a friendly personality. Golden Retrievers make wonderful family dogs for homes with children and other pets. While this breed is not generally noisy they will announce visitors.
