Fox Terrier Puppies
The Fox Terrier was developed to hunt foxes in England in the 1700's. There are two varieties of the Fox Terrier, smooth and wirehaired. Each type is a separate breed but the dogs are identical except for the coat.
The Wirehaired Fox Terrier has a dense and wiry coat seen in white with brown, black, or black and brown patches. This breed will need stripping, the pulling of hairs, not trimming
The Smooth Fox Terrier has a smooth, dense, and short coat seen in white with brown, black, or black and brown patches.
This dog is a loyal family pet that does well with children when raised with them. Early socialization of the Fox Terrier is important to prevent aggression toward strangers. This breed does not do well with other pets and has a tendency to chase and kill small animals.
This breed is extremely active and enjoys playing games. If the breed lives in an apartment the dog will need to be taken for long walks. The Fox Terrier will need to be leashed at all times as they have a natural tendency to roam and hunt.
The Fox Terrier can excel at agility and obedience training.
