English Springer Spaniels Puppies
English Springer Spaniels are loyal, trusting, playful and loving. Springers do well in obedience training and are very eager to please their owners. These dogs are good with other animals and children and absolutely love to romp and play with their families. Leaving a Springer alone too much may lead to destructive behavior. English Springer Spaniels warm slowly to strangers, though this breed is usually not aggressive towards them.
A Springer’s outer coat is medium length and often curly/wavy. The undercoat is dense, short and soft. Colors are basically white with either black or liver markings. This breed’s long ears have lots of feathering, and their chest and legs may show some feathering as well.
English Springers shed very little, though their ears and feathering should be brushed weekly to keep it clean and tangle free. Several brisk walks each day and playtime off leash each day are very much appreciated by this breed. These dogs also love to play fetch and make great jogging partners.
This breed was originally bred in the 17th century for hunting where this breed was used to flush prey and retrieve game.
