English Mastiff Puppies
When mastiffs are properly bred, trained and socialized, this type of dog is gentle, easygoing and good-natured. Normally these dogs get along well with other animals and enjoy children. This breed makes great watchdogs despite the fact that this breed is generally friendly with strangers. Given Mastiff’s massive size and strength, any signs of aggression and dominance must be immediately addressed with a professional trainer. Mastiffs love to be included in family activities.
The Mastiff’s outer coat is short and coarse, and the undercoat is dense and lies close to the body. Colors may be brindle, fawn or apricot, with the nose, muzzle and ears darker than the body. These dogs have a very large head.
This dog requires only a light brushing each week and a long walk each day. Once a week you should allow these puppies to play in a secured area off of a leash.
Mastiff’s originated in Europe and have been used for guard duty, protection and hunting.
