English Pointer Puppies 

The English Pointer, or simply the Pointer, has been around since 1650 when they were first recorded. The breeds name comes from the way this dog will instinctively "point" to its prey during a hunt.

The coat is short and sleek. It is seen mainly in white but can be liver, lemon, black, or orange. These colors can be solid, patched, speckled, or a tri-color mix. To keep the coat shiny a daily rub-down with a towel is recommended. Due to this breeds short coat they can develop frostbite in cold weather.

The English Pointer is an easy-going dog and a loyal hunting companion. This breed is born with an instinct to hunt and have an exceptional sense of smell.

This breed enjoys children and gets along with other pets but should be watched around birds.
