Doberman Pincher Puppies

Doberman pinchers are very energetic and sensitive dogs that respond well to praise.  Dobermans that are well socialized get along well with other animals and children when brought up with them.  Never play aggressive games, like tug-of-war, with Dobermans.

Dobermans make natural guard dogs.  Obedience training is mandatory with young Doberman pinschers to socialize them and help them to bond with their owners.

A Dobermans coat is very close lying, smooth, short and thick.  Colors may be black, red, fawn and blue.  Sharply defined rust spots appear above each eye, on the muzzle, on the throat, fore chest and on all legs & feet.

Dobermans shed very little and require only a light brushing each week.  This type of dog is highly energetic and must be allowed to run daily in an enclosed area.  Walking, and even jogging, is not usually enough to satisfy their exercise needs.

Doberman pinschers were first breed during the 19th century by a German dog-catcher, who was also the town policeman, for guard duty.
