Chinese Crested Puppies
While the Chinese Crested dog is name of China, the nation is not believed to be dog's country of origin.
This small dog is unique in many ways including its narrow paws that have a human like grip. The breed also has sweat glands and does not pant to release heat.
The Chinese Crested comes in two varieties: hairless and powder-puff both of which come in a range of colors.
The hairless version comes with a tough skin but does have hair on the top of its head, feet, and tail. The powder-puff variety has a coat of long, fine silky hair over its whole body.
This dog is fun loving, affectionate, and cheerful. The breed may not do well with small children.
The Chinese Crested trains well in obedience but may take longer than other breeds to house train.
Due to the lack of hair the Chinese Crested needs protection from hot and cold weather and is prone to sunburn and frostbite.
