While being a good watchdog, it’s critical to control excessive barking early in life. These pups are very smart and excel in obedience training.
The Cairn terrier has medium length legs and a broad head, usually with dark colors around the muzzle. This breed’s coat is water resistant with a firm outer coat and a soft undercoat. Colors range from red to gray, wheaten or black.
Cairns need to be brushed and combed weekly. Trimming their coats four times per year will keep them in optimal shape.
