Basset Hound Puppies

This breed is normally very gentle and kind-natured.  Bassets get along well with children and other animals.  Though this breed tends to be stubborn and difficult to house-train, you can overcome these problems with early obedience training for your Basset.

A weekly routine of a quick brushing and cleaning of this pup’s ears should keep your Basset happy and healthy.  Despite being seen as “lazy” dogs, Bassets actually require a couple of long, brisk walks each day.  Alternatively, this breed may be left to play in an enclosed area with other pets or family members.

Bassets originated in 16th century France from French scent hounds.  This breed was originally bred to hunt rabbits.
