The American Mastiff was breed in America from an Old English Mastiff and an Anatolian.
The breed comes with a coarse, short, straight coat that is seen in golden or light fawn, apricot, silver, or brindle. Daily grooming and wiping with a moist towel is recommended.
A positive aseptic of this breed is that they have a dry mouth due to the cross breeding with the Anatolian.
The American Mastiff a devoted to family life and get along well with children. The breed is very protective which makes for great guard dogs. This breed must be socialized early in life and trained.
