Soft Coated Wheaton Puppies 

For centuries the Soft Coated Wheaton was used as a farm dog in its native Ireland. This breed is one of Irelands oldest and yet the dog wasn't known around the world until its 1946 voyage to the United States.

The Soft Coated Wheaton, as the name implies, has a soft and gently waving coat which comes in a varying shades of wheaten. This dog will need brushing. This breed can be good for allergy sufferers as they shed less than some dogs.

Wheatons are generally very happy with an abundance of energy. This energy can result in some Soft Coated Wheatons behaving as puppies throughout their lives.

While this breed is devoted to its family and loves children activity is need. This dog will get along with pets if raised with them but very small pets should be kept away from the Wheaton.

The Soft Coated Wheaton enjoys living in the country apartments if taken for daily walks. The breed makes great watchdogs as they will back at approaching strangers.

This breed can be difficult to train as they are very lively. Patience and persistence is needed to train the Wheaton.
