Morkie

Morkies are a cross between a Yorkshire terrier and a Maltese and is very popular. They have a lively and sweet temperament. Morkies are affectionate, loving, and devoted. They are wonderful travel companions. They get along well with other breeds and non-canine pets. Apartment life suits the Morkie just fine as long as they are mentally and physically exercised.

Morkies generally do not like to be left alone and will likely adopt a destructive behavior and excessive barking if they are. They are suspicious of strangers and alert their family of any out of the ordinary sounds.

Daily brushing is required to prevent matting and tangling. Bathing should be done with a mild shampoo when necessary.

Early socialization is recommended. Morkies may be stubborn and difficult to house train. It can be done with firmness, fairness, patience and consistency.
