Labrador retriever Puppies
The Labrador originated from Newfoundland and off the coast of Greenland. Fishermen used the breed to bring fishing nets ashore. Labradors are sometimes known as Saint John’s Dog or Small Water Dog as not to get confused with the Newfoundland breed.
Labrador retrievers make excellent guide dogs and are often employed by police departments to sniff out drugs and explosives.
They have a gentle, calm and affectionate nature making this breed one of the most popular family companions around the world. Regular exercise is recommended to keep the Labrador from becoming overweight.
The Labrador has a solid, slightly elongated frame with a broad head and an otter-like tail. Their coat is short, straight, stiff, water resistant and may be black, yellow or Chocolate in color.
