Japanese Chin Puppies
Despite its name the Japanese Chin is thought to have originated in China and was taken to Japan as a gift from China's Emperor to the Emperor of Japan. The breed came to England and the United States after Commodore Perry made his famous visit to Japan in 1853.
The Japanese Chin is a regal little dog with a silky, soft and straight coat. The breed comes in three color sets: black and white, lemon and white, and red and white. To keep the coat clean and untangled, three to four brushings a week are required.
This sensitive, companion dog lives to please its master and is affectionate and responsive to people the dog knows. With new situations and strangers the dog will be aloof. This breed's loyalty to its family makes for an adequate watchdog with a deep bark.
This tame, intelligent dog is a prime choice for obedience classes as they endeavor to please their owner.
The Japanese Chins flat face makes them prone to breathing difficulties and should be kept indoors during extreme hot and cold weather.
