Greater Swiss Mountain Puppies
The Greater Swiss Mountain dog or Swissy hails from Switzerland where the breed has traditionally been found in villages and on farms.
This dog has a double coat of dense upper fur and thick undercoat. The coat is seen primarily in black with symmetrical markings of white and red. Daily brushings will keep the Greater Swiss Mountain's coat tangle free and clean.
The Swissy is a wonderful family pet, getting along with other pets and being watchful and protective of children.
This dog will need to be trained to not chase small pets. Early socialization and obedience training will also be needed.
The Greater Swiss Mountain prefers cooler temperatures and can over heat if not properly watched in hot humid weather.
