German Spaniel Puppies
The German Spaniel also known as the Wachtelhund, meaning quail dog, in its native Germany is named for the breed's favorite game. Breeder F. Roberth developed the German Spaniel in the late 1800's using several types of water dog and the Stöber.
This dog has a long, dense, and wavy coat seen in a varying array of browns, reds, and white in numerous combinations. Regular brushing and attention to the ears is needed.
This breed is affectionate and makes a good pet. The German Spaniel will need regular exercise.
The German Spaniel is a natural hunter and does well on any terrain. Due to the breeds hunter instance the German Spaniel should be watched around other pets or small animals.
Training for obedience should begin early in life.
