The Borzoi is an old breed hailing from Russia. The breeds name comes from the Russian word for swift but was originally known as the Russian Wolfhound.

This breed comes with a lush double coat that is thick and flowing in a variety of colors and color combinations.

This dog is known for its excellent behavior and enjoys being inside. The Borzoi does well in any living situation with adequate exercise. This breed should not be allowed to run free as they have a natural tendency to chase.

Due to this breeds large size they are not recommended as pets for small children but can make excellent companions for older kids.

The Borzoi is trainable in obedience but can be stubborn and bores of repetition.
