Looking for Puggles?
Beagles are very popular because this breed can adapt to almost any situation. This breed requires moderate exercise, get along well with people, children and other animals and adapt well to life in the city.
It’s critical to begin socialization and obedience training at a very early age to have a happy, healthy, non-destructive beagle. Behavioral problems include howling and digging, but are easily controlled with training. Being scent hounds, this breed tends to follow scents while walking, so a leash is critical.
Beagles have a dense, hard, medium length coat. Colors include white tan and black in different combinations. This breed should be groomed with a hound glove weekly and enjoy vigorous daily walks or the chance to run in a secure area.
The actual origins of the Beagle or a bit of a mystery, though popular culture has it this breed came from breeding between French scent hounds and small hunting hounds from the British Isles during the 18th century.
